Joey Roberts, photographer in Maastricht, was struck intensively by the power deriving from music and emotion during a concert of Erik Vaarzon Morel and Erik Vloeimans, that he decided to commit his photography capturing this moment of musician and instrument. The moment where musician and music become one.

For Maastricht Photo Festival Joey made a series of photos of musicians studying at the conservatory in Maastricht. His camera captured the student's interaction with his or her instrument while making music. He focused on the moment in which the musician finds what moves him in the music, in which he coincides with his love or passion for this.
