Andrea Beckers is inspired by the human face, the mysterious and incomprehensible, philosophy and psychology. In her work she wants to reveal the invisible within the visible trough spatial aesthetics, and focus on a spiritual journey that she portrays in her oeuvre. Showing her personal expression and imaginative experimentation of technique and texture is really important to her. Andrea likes to step into dialogue with images through hiding and altering parts of her characters. Manipulation in the purest form.
