SASK Hasselt
De Hasseltse school
Atelier Photo Art of the Municipal Academy of Fine Arts (SASK), Hasselt, BE.
Thanks to the classical foundation of the training and the very wide range, from analogue to digital imaging with everything in between (noble processes, large-screen photography, hybrid photography, ...) we have shaped the education of photography in our province in the last 45 years . A selection of alumni with national and international fame adorn our honors list.
"De Hasseltse School"
To give a representative impression of our studio, we draw on two sources. On the one hand, images from a group project on serendipity, under the title "Serendipity" where students, former students and teachers had a confrontation in an extensive exhibition in our academy gallery. On the other hand, six graduation projects from the 2018-2019 Academic Year from the Higher Degree and Specialization Degree. With our selection we show exactly what our studio is aiming for, namely technical, substantive and conceptual quality. The great goal of educating photographers with a broad subjective, artistic view of the world can be read and seen in every photo.
Exhibitors: Leon Moonen, Joke Timmermans, Peter Jans, Anne Schoups, Maarten De Munck, Joep Gosen, Caroline Cox, Henk Verhelst, Ad Wagemakers, Natalija Tatarinova, Ben De Clercq, Marc Verhey,Ive Reekmans, Kurt Janssens, Willy Oldenhave, Ilka Dupont, Michel Corthouts, Jean Nicolaï, Birgit Stulens, Jean-Pierre Pijls, Indra Moonen, Sanne Weckx, Carlo Valkenborgh
